We are pleased to announce our second confirmed venue for Durham Free Fringe 2026: the Market Tavern. Located in Durham Market Place, it is a popular destination with both Market Place visitors and fringe week participants. We will be using the back room on Wednesday and Thursday, probably with a variety of events over theatre, comedy, music and spoken word.
Now that we have a second space confirmed, we will be able to make some more progress with scheduling. Some of you will be hearing from us shortly, but we are also waiting for news on a third venue. Rest assured, we have plans in place with or without these extra venues, and if you applied before the deadline, we will find a way of including you.
