🎉🎉🎉 EXCITING NEW VENUE ANNOUNCEMENT! 🎉🎉🎉
At last! We can finally tell you this. It’s been a lot of work securing this and working out the details, but we are now able to reveal our third venue for Durham Free Fringe 2026 is the Miners’ Hall at Redhills.
The historical base of Durham Miners’ Association, the Miners’ was recently refurbished and brought back into use as a community facility for Durham City. For is, this will be our primary base for our Spoken Word acts.
We will be using the cafe and cinema room as spaces on Friday 31st July – Sunday 2nd August. We have a couple of little details to finalise before we make formal offers but we already have a tentative schedule drawn up.
Thank you to all our acts for your patience – we were not expecting to need to accommodate so many of you and it took longer than expected to get the space. But we’re all good to go now, and it’s getting very exciting.
